Drawing Summer Camps

Drawing Animals

Session 1 (July 7-10), Session 2 (July 14-17), 9:30am - 12:30pm (Ages 7-12)

Does your child love animals and drawing? Then Drawing Animals is the perfect camp for them! This exciting and creative camp is designed for young artists who want to learn how to draw animals and bring their own animal characters to life.

Throughout the camp, kids will explore drawing techniques, learn how to sketch a variety of animals, and develop their own unique animal characters. Campers will be guided step by step, as they learn to capture the shapes and expressions that make animals come alive on paper.

Each day will feature fun activities such as:
🎨 Learning to draw real animals from reference images
🦁 Creating imaginative animal characters with unique personalities
🖍 Experimenting with different drawing materials and styles
📖 Designing a mini story or scene featuring their animal creations

By the end of the camp, kids will have a portfolio of amazing animal artwork and newfound confidence in their drawing skills. Whether they love wild animals, pets, or fantasy creatures, this camp will spark their creativity and inspire them to keep drawing!

World Building

Session 1 (July 7-10), Session 2 (July 14-17), 1:00pm - 4:00pm (Ages 7-12)

Let your child's imagination run wild at World Building, a one-of-a-kind drawing camp where young artists will design their own unique worlds and bring their original characters to life!

Throughout the camp, kids will explore the fundamentals of world-building, learning how to create landscapes, cities, and environments that tell a story. They’ll also develop their own characters—heroes, creatures, and inhabitants—that fit into the worlds they imagine. Campers will be guided through fun and engaging lessons, as they craft detailed settings and dynamic characters.

Camp activities will include:
🌎 Designing maps, landscapes, and environments
🎭 Creating original characters with unique personalities and styles
🖌 Experimenting with different drawing techniques and materials
📖 Building stories and scenes to bring their world to life

By the end of the camp, each child will have a collection of artwork showcasing their one-of-a-kind world and characters. Whether they dream of magical kingdoms, futuristic cities, or hidden underwater realms, World Building will inspire them to create and explore through art!

Make Your Own Comics

Session 3 (July 21-24), Session 4 (July 28-31), 9:30 am - 12:30 pm (Ages 7-12)

Calling all young storytellers and artists! Make Your Own Comics is the perfect camp for kids who love to draw and dream up exciting stories. In this engaging and hands-on camp, kids will learn the fundamentals of comic creation—developing their own characters, crafting dynamic panels, and writing short stories that bring their ideas to life!

Camp activities will include:
🦸‍♂️ Character design—creating unique heroes, villains, or sidekicks
💬 Storytelling techniques—learning how to structure a short comic
🎨 Panel layout and composition—making comics visually exciting
🖍 Inking and coloring—bringing their artwork to life with bold lines and color

By the end of the camp, each child will have their very own short comic to share! Whether they want to create action-packed adventures, funny cartoons, or heartwarming tales, Make Your Own Comics is the perfect place for young artists to unleash their creativity and storytelling skills.

Digital Art

Session 3 (July 21-24), Session 4 (July 28-31), 1:00pm - 4:00pm (Ages 9-14)

Does your child love to draw and want to explore the exciting world of digital art? Digital Art is the perfect camp for young artists to learn how to create amazing artwork using Procreate on the iPad!

In this fun and interactive camp, kids will be introduced to the fundamentals of digital drawing, learning how to use brushes, layers, colors, and special effects to bring their ideas to life. Campers will be guided through step-by-step lessons to help them develop their skills and confidence in digital illustration.

Camp activities will include:
🎨 Learning Procreate tools and techniques
🖌 Experimenting with different brushes and textures
🌈 Coloring, shading, and adding special effects
🖍 Creating original characters, landscapes, and fun projects

By the end of the camp, kids will have a collection of digital artwork and the skills to continue creating on their own! Whether they dream of drawing cartoons, characters, or colorful illustrations, Digital Art will inspire them to explore new creative possibilities.

***Required supplies not included: iPad, Procreate and Stylus.

Sessions are located on Aldwick Drive in Lake Highlands.

Cost is $275 per session, supplies included except for Digital Art.

Space is limited to 8 students per session.
